  • This long term investor in Oracle technology has two Web Developer vacancies within their Information Management function. In this role you will use your skills to design, develop and maintain web-based solutions for the companies Web Environment (comprising the Portal, Intranet, Internet and associated sites) under the guidance of the Web Development Manager. You will provide technical expertise and advice to the business, and to provide solutions that meet business requirements. They are looking for a high calibre and versatile WebSphere and Java developer to work on a new corporate intranet and enterprise portal. The project has adopted IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1 as its platform, and is expected to run for several years, aggregating a diverse set of micro-sites, applications and data sources into a single corporate platform. The focus of the project is to change the way they do business; to become faster, leaner, more efficient and much more collaborative. To this end the use of `Web 2.0¿ technologies and working patterns will feature throughout the project. Displaying an in-depth knowledge of the core skills listed below, the successful candidate will be expected to be a fully integrated member of our growing team of permanent staff, and will also have direct and regular interaction with stakeholders and users throughout the development lifecycle. Skills: Extensive WebSphere portal and portlet development experience J2EE and/or Java EE 5 development Web delivery technologies (HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Ajax etc.) Hands-on Web Service development with RAD RDBMS development with Oracle or similar Session and Entity EJB development Java Server Faces (JSF) Initiative with strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work directly with people from all areas of the organisation Tools: Rational Application Developer (RAD) WebSphere Application Server (experience deploying applicati
