Software Engineer - SYN6103

  • This client is part of a worldwide association of independent pharmaceutical companies that have been developing vital new drugs for more than half a century. They are currently recruiting for a Software Engineer whose key responsibility will be the development and delivery of software solutions. Job Purpose: The work within the software engineering team is broad and covers developing and delivering technical solutions, supporting/maintaining existing systems and configuring and implementing third party solutions. The role is involved in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle from feasibility through to specification, programming and implementation. The role also involves working within wider IT and business project teams to develop solutions for any functional area of Napp. The role is expected to comply with the Company¿s Quality Standards. These include Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP) and the department¿s Quality Management System requirements and technical standards. Roles and Responsibilities: ¿ To develop, deliver and implement IT solutions and services ¿ To Support Operational Systems ¿ To carry out Business Analysis ¿ To undertake project work ¿ To work within the Standard Infrastructure ¿ To develop business awareness in Pharmaceuticals: ¿ To work within Project Management disciplines: ¿ To develop and deliver all products according to BSD & Company Quality Criteria Technical Capabilities: Programming Languages One or more of the following: ¿ C# ¿ VB.net ¿ Asp.net ¿ Oracle PL/SQL Databases Can develop against and understands one or more of the following databases: ¿ Oracle ¿ SQL Server ¿ Documentum Architecture and Environments ¿ Knowledge of MOSS 2007 and / or SPS/WSS 2003 ¿ Use of version control systems such as SourceSafe or CVS ¿ Knowledge of reporting systems such as SQL Reporting Service or Business Objects ¿ Knowledge of client server networked and internet / web-ba
