Our client, a leading blue chip company is looking to recruit a number of talented Oracle Applications DBA s to join their team in Swansea. The role will be to provide Support for the Oracle 11i E-business Suite on HP Unix. The successful Oracle Applications DBA should have strong skills and experience with: Solid skills in Oracle Database Administration (10g an advantage) Multi-node installations with RAC Load-balancing Patching and Cloning with RAW datafiles Daily database maintenance and monitoring. Database performance-tuning skills Disaster Recovery with Standby, and Fail-Over methodologies (Logical and Physical) Database backup and recovery methodologies SQL and PL/SQL skills Unix Shell Scripting skills Soft skills required for the role are; good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight timescales. Support will also be required outside of normal office hours and a good understanding of the hardware required to run Oracle 11i. Security Clearance to at least SC level will be required or the willingness to go through the clearance.
